Program Description: The Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Information Technology program requires the prior completion of the AAS degree either at ABTU or another appropriately accredited institution. This program introduces students to IT concepts including hardware, business and productivity software, operating systems, networking, programming, and information security, and reinforces concepts and techniques through practical application. As student’s progress into advanced IT courses in database administration, systems architecture, and systems design, students can tailor the program to fit their educational and career needs by bringing concentration courses from associate and certificate programs into the elective category then selecting the networking concentration or other courses of interest to meet the program semester credit requirements above.
