Program Description: The administrative assistant training program provides students with the skills they need to prepare for a career in this field. Secretaries and administrative assistants perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties that are necessary to run an organization efficiently. They use computer software to create spreadsheets, interact with databases, and prepare presentations, reports, and documents. They also may negotiate with vendors, buy supplies, and manage stockrooms or corporate libraries.
Students have the option to add a career specialization track to their Administrative Assistant program, in the areas of Project Coordinator, Social Media Manager, Professional Bookkeeper, Human Resource Assistant, or Legal Secretary.
