Program Description

With an ever changing environment in the global community, people at all level of employment will need to have a foundation in information technology. This certificate is designed to let students explore a range of information technology subjects before they decide on an area of specialization. The program is designed in a manner which allows graduates of the program to obtain marketable skills upon graduation of this program alone. All of the courses are transferable with full credit to higher education programs offered at the University.

Program Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate should be able to:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of current Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Identify and evaluate computer systems issues and implement effective remediation policies.
  • Utilize and define the computer system components and application system operation characteristics.
  • Explain and employ specific knowledge and skills attributable to a set of courses chosen by the student.
